A skin care review article from The Dermatology Review. Great article!! Mary Kay is a trusted name is cosmetics that was founded in 1963 by Mary Ash Kay. Mary Kay products are proudly produced in the USA with a manufacturing plant in Dallas, Texas. The Companies products are sold through 700,000 plus representatives throughout North America. Mary Kay does not sell it’s products through retail outlets or department stores. Mary Kay does not test products in the USA on Animals, although it is required to do so in some Countries. The company manufactures a variety of products, including skin care, make up, fragrances, gifts and body care. Mary Kay’s core product is it’s Timewise range and for the purposes of this review we evaluated Foaming Cleanser, Lifting Serum, Day Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum, Night Treatment With Retinol, 1.7 and Eye Renewal Cream. The product came in a kit and the retail price was $199. The product claims to reduce fine lines, restore facial contours and reveal even skin tone. The product also claims to restore a healthy barrier by strengthen and stabilize the skin barrier.The product was packaged beautifully and had sufficient instructions on how the product should be used. The texture, fragrance and overall feeling of using the product range was above average. However, for the purposes of this review we were primarily interested in the formula and concentration of anti aging ingredients versus the price paid so we can determine the value of for money. The products contain the patent pending Volu-Firm™ which includes plant stem cells, peptides and encapsulated retinol. We also evaluated the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion kit. Mary Kay generates over 2 billion per years in sales and it appears a reasonable percentage is reinvested into research and development. Whilst the formulas aren’t overly revolutionary nor do they push any boundries Mary Kay seems to be a safe bet. When searching for Mary Kay reviews we find a large percentage of loyal and happy clients.
