A statement from a Brazilian soldier in Afghanistan: diego • 3 days ago − Good afternoon, I am writing today to request that you look at the uprisings that have taken place in Brazil. I am currently in Afghanistan with the Army, but i am originally from Brazil, . Brazilian politicians have for so long taken advantage of the people and openly covered up the corruption and disregard to human life and social needs. Some of the reasons for the current protest in Brazil are as follow: Corruption on the government Low quality on education and poor salary for educators Expenses for world cup and Olympics add to more than 50 BILLION dollars. Extremely poor quality in transportation and recent raise on fares for public transport limiting the publics access to health and schools. Violence against peaceful protests. On the first days of protest 8 journalists were shot with rubber bullets to the face and one of them is in risk of being blind for the remainder of his like. Minimum wage at a R$670 MONTHLY. Over 250.000 people were evicted from their homes so that you the tourist dont see the "dirty" or poor side of Brazil. Police under orders openly enganged peacefull protester with rubber bullets and gas bombs, with complete disregards to children and woman Curious facts: -Did you know that Brazilian senate has 15 monthly salary? as if their year had 15 months? -Lourival Mendes one of the federal representatives for the people proposed a law that would limit the investigations of politicians. -While Brazil spent Billions on world cup preparations and donations to countries such as Cuba, Kids in public school eat out of improvised plastic containers with make shift sitting arrangements, a premature child of just 15 days DIED while waiting for a incubator in a hospital, a woman gave birth while at a hospital waiting lobby due to the lack of vacancy. The state refused to donate grains of corn to one of their own states while they donate tons and tons of food to other nations in search of political advantages with foreign nations. Its absurd. Its more than 20 cents and more than the world cup. Its a corrupt system that chooses to keep its citizens ignorant while forcing a dependency with special programs to keep the people ignorant and useless. If you think this is not a fact. You may search your video streaming medias and confirm my accusations. Kindly, Afghanistan #changebrazil
