A tribute to three major Italian actresses of the 50s and 60s: - TopicsExpress

A tribute to three major Italian actresses of the 50s and 60s: Claudia Cardinale, Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren. This is also a bit of a tribute to Nino Rota whose music is used and even a bit of Federico Fellini as in the last half minute I used a circus/show theme among other things. Titles are in Italian (dive italiane = italian leading ladies). Also, this video is dedicated to my friend Claudia who came up with the idea and contributed clips :) For music, Nino Rotas theme from Il gattopardo starts off (inspired by Martin Scorseses My Voyage to Italy) followed by Deborah Harry singing You Come To Me which is to Nino Rotas (and Fellinis) Amarcord, followed by a variation on the Godfather Waltz (Henry Mancini with Nino Rota), and again the end of Amarcord (You Come to Me). Like Six Degrees of Separation, I included co-stars, colors, gestures, scenes, style and costumes to connect the dots from scene/clip to scene/clip. Celebrities include Federico Fellini, Marcello Mastroianni, Vittorio DeSica, Alain Delon, Jean Paul Belmondo, Burt Lancaster, Rock Hudson and Tony Curtis. I didnt connect (although you can see) Humphrey Bogart, Marlon Brando, Anthony Quinn, William Holden and Cary Grant. Films include: Beat the Devil, Fanfan la Tulipe, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Solomon and Sheba, Trapeze, La Ciociara (Two Women), Countess from Hong Kong, El Cid, Fall of the Roman Empire, Heller in Pink Tights, Houseboat, Ieri oggi domani (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow), The Key, Too Bad Shes Bad, 8 1/2, Austerlitz, Il bellAntonio, Blindfold, Circus World, Dont Make Waves, A Fine Pair, The Leopard, Les petroleuses (Frenchie King), magnifico cornuto (Magnificent Cuckold), Pink Panther, Ragazza di Bube, Rocco and His Brothers, Upstairs and Downstairs, and Vaghe stelle dellOrsa (Sandra). youtu.be/5TVREQ_uXw4
