A truly tragic day. Our happy Brony bushel lost an apple. This video was posted a few days before he took his own life due to cyber bullying. The worst part is it hasnt even stopped after the tragic event. The comments are blowing up this very second with hateful remarks for his family and love ones to read. I dont see how people can be so heartless and cruel. The bullying was sparked by fanfic criticism. (Fanfic=a story written by a fan about the shows characters) So what worries me is, the only people who read fanfics are other fans. So its even more tragic that the culprits are part of the fandom. Thats not what the show or the fandom is about. I hope the people leaving the terrible comments are held accountable for their actions even though its unlikely. The internet can be a cold and dangerous place and a lot of the members of the fandom have a difficult time socializing and making friends out in the real world. Its easy to make fun of our awkward behavior when we are made up of some pretty awkward people. Some of them live their entire social life online so they become easy prey to bullies. I know this has little relevance to any of you but it just serves a reminder to treat everyone with love and respect, because you have no idea of the problems they are fighting.
