A vegetarian food business has now decided to sell items with bacon in it. Theyve never claimed to be a vegan business nor vegetarians themselves, but always offering 100% vegetarian and a good amount of vegan items on their menu. I cant say this new menu addition made me happy. Again, theyve never been a veg business per se, and just like many of you - we sometimes eat at non-vegan restaurants that offer vegan options, but I cant help but feel really bothered by this. In addition, there was a really rude post by a supporter of this business towards an obviously vegan commenter, and the business pretty much verbally high-fived the person who made the rude comment, which was pretty crappy in my opinion. Honestly, I really dont want to go there anymore. Thankfully there are other options in the Sacramento area, so its not like I have to. I think I need to start a food truck, LOL! It reminded me a lot of a blog post from Colleen Patrick Goudreau (attached)...I dont know if its pregnancy hormones or what. But this chaps my hide (and Im a pretty cool chica).
