A very different and real perspective of this entire Ottawa debacle. Professor of Islamic Studies Idrisa Pandit says Christians werent expected to apologize for the massacre of 77 youth at a Norway summer camp in 2011, and its unfair to expect Muslims should apologize for the actions of lone wolf Islamic extremists. The issue is not about specific religions, so my fellow non-Muslim friends please dont take offense if i do share this, as I personally love all equally, but the question i want to ask.. doesnt Idrisa make sense with her comments about the backlash thats being made against the Muslim community as a whole? Isnt this what true racism is all about- sidelining an entire nation based on the acts of a few lunatic individuals-- does that even make sense? I was equally shocked and saddened by this event, but when I heard about rumors and non-verifiable information of this terrorist with a link to Islam, that just made me angry. I am hurt, I am scared, I am frustrated to see media and the authorities to expose this information without any proof or solid evidence. Other than that, even if that is proven, at least have the decency to indicate how many Muslims are peacefully living in this wonderful land that we all cherish. Its not only the Muslims that cause harm in the world or have caused havoc for all these years, all of us have a fair share (this statement isnt a defensive one against these acts, its a reality check and how people should realize that no one is perfect, so dont forget history). Fact is that certain PEOPLE are bad, everyone in this world is entitled a choice.. thanks to democracy, like here in Canada, its more than evident to witness individuality and uniqueness in such choices. People, please remember the individuality factor of perception and understanding that motivates behaviors; anyone who has taken psychology should understand how different elements of life create different behaviors and perspectives. #LongLiveCanada #LongLiveIslam #ISISUCKS
