A very interesting preview for two films featuring Joe Marzano, one being Venus in Furs, which he directed, the other being Cool it Baby, which he did star in, and he claimed he directed it though its credited to Lou Campa. I was friendly with Marzano in the late 80s early 90s until his constant whining finally wore me down. Prior to Something Weird Video putting out both films Marzano used to have us call Harry Novac and ask for a 16mm print of the films (yes, Im not kidding, he did have us do that, Novac of course never complied, why anyone felt he would is beyond me). Initially I liked Marzano and was going to feature a detailed interview with him in The Exploitation Journal but never followed through with that after we had a fight regarding the shooting of the infamous Lulu and Friends. I made a wise ass remark in the EXJ saying that Marzano had died choking on a slice of pizza. This joke arose from the fact that Marzano would buy you a piece of pizza if you did a favor for him. Or, hed promise you a piece of pizza, receiving it rarely happened. I lived in Hewlett, he lived in Lynbrook about two towns over. He did die in 2000 but it wasnt death by pizza.
