A vortex is the funnel shape created by a whirling fluid or by the motion of spiraling energy. Familiar examples of vortex shapes are whirlwinds, tornadoes, and water going down a drain. A vortex can be made up of anything that flows, such as wind, water, or electricity. It is energy in motion. Some scientists see vortexes as either male or female, depending on which direction they are rotating. Generally, clockwise is seen as female, and counterclockwise as male. There are believed to be three main types of vortexes: Electric - stimulates and energizes, activates Magnetic - attracts energy to the area Electromagnetic -both activates and attracts energy These vortexes are said to be gateways or portals to other realms, both spiritual and multidimensional. Some consider these earth vortexes to be the Earths chakra system. Earth has both a major and a minor chakra system, just as people do. These chakras are linked to the well-being of earth, as are chakras linked to our personal well-being. There are many locations throughout our planet that contain energy vortexes that seem to correlate with Ley Lines. These locations have been found to be extremely strong at node points where these lines cross. Ley lines refer to hypothetical alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and megaliths. Places like Stonehenge, the Pyramids of Egypt, Easter Island, and so on are well known as vortex spots. These locations will typically portray strong concentrations of gravitational anomalies, creating environments that can defy gravity, bend light, and twist plant life into contorted shapes. An energy vortex can affect you positively for days after you have been in one. Some feel that its energy resonates and strengthens the Inner Being of each person that comes within a quarter of a mile of the vortex. This resonance happens because the vortex energy is very similar to the subtle energy operating in the energy centers inside each person. If you are at all a sensitive person, it is easy to feel the energy at these vortexes. Many ancient civilizations were aware of these earth vortexes and constructed various temples, shrines and sacred sites within these locations. They understood the energies within these points and utilized these energies in various ways.
