AARP Florida state director Jeff Johnson participates in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge phenomenon that has been sweeping social media. Jeff was challenged by a classmate of his from Leadership Florida, Sabra Smith of Bonita Springs, either to donate to the cause of fighting ALS or dump a bucket of ice water on his head (or both). Jeff took the challenge with the help of his AARP Florida team and then challenged three other Leadership Florida classmates, Greg Holden of St. Petersburg, Mark Criser of Tampa, and Nadine Smith of St. Petersburg. The nickname of our class was Ice, Ice Baby, said Johnson. I was surprised this hadnt hit our class earlier. Johnson also said he was a little disturbed by how eagerly his AARP colleagues volunteered to dump the bucket of ice water (with Florida alligators for added effect) on his head. bit.ly/YqJXPq
