ABOUT BEING “JUDGEMENTAL” I thought I knew what that meant. I have been aware of that term for many years, and was pretty sure about what it meant. In fact, I thought almost everyone else knew what it meant – that it referred to one who harshly or unjustly, or hypocritically judged another. NOT SO! Anymore, it is a matter of WHAT ISSUE you are “judging”, rather than an attitude in judging… Depending on what issue one is enamored with, if your conclusions lead you to raise honest questions about it, then, to that person, you are “judgmental”! Since there is already a “default” aversion to “judgmental” (based on previous proper applications of that term), to some shallow thinkers, their knee-jerk reaction, is, “oh, how sad”. Shame on you for not verifying the validity of its use in that instance. And, SHAME ON THOSE whose position can only be defended by preying on the gullible with “hijacked” terms. If your position cannot stand based on an honest application of the words you use, give it up, brethren – the Lord will bless you. Brethren, don’t use “big words” if you can’t understand them! (acb)
