ABOUT Piracy, I copy an important message i wrote today in a forum and somewhere on facebook!! ************************ I know that many of you are trying to help, and its appreciate but I wanna invite you to reflect on a few points. Im involved (again, I would say) in this unpleasant piracy event and you cannot imagine how many messages, private messages, facebook messages and email I got during these days. What does it mean? It means that, through a viral sharing game, the wide world knows that those kits are sold for a few pennies in that site. Which is the result? A HUGE PROMOTION to that pirate and a HUGE DAMAGE for our business. Involuntarily, all those who have partecipated in this sharing game, have contributed to increase the criticity of the problem. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER you have to PUBLISH or SHARE pirate sites with other friends/relatives. If you, by accident, come addressed to one of these sites (someone could explain me, then, how we can be linked by accident in piracy sites....), the only thing that you have to do is CLOSE IT. Stop. I even dont suggest to warn the involved designers because: 1) They cant do nothing. Even if they send DMCA notice, the problem will persist. 2) Theyre at the same time potential customers of other designers and they are potentially invited to take advantage from the pirate site too. I know its sad to say this, but Ive learned to be diffident. So, PLEASE.... I said it in all the languages possible, AVOID to write in PUBLIC sites (forums, facebook and so on) the link of the pirate site. I would strongly suggest to remove ALL THE LINKS youve shared. Thanks anyway, I know that people try to help, but..... the effect is exactly the contrary.
