ADVICE ALERT!!! Hello, Im a Korean-American here on a F-4 visa. I have a part time job however 23% taxes are being taken from my salary. My employers accountant said I can get this back if I visit home (the states) within 180 days. Since an F-4 basically gives me similiar rights of a Korean, many say it doesnt sound right. Talking to my employer hasnt helped. Im in search of an english/korean speaking accountant for advice. Some tell me to visit Guam since its a US territory, would that work? Even if it did, I dont want to leave Korea every 180 days just to get 1/4 of my earnings back? Can someone answer me directly about this? Everyones telling me to go here and there...
