AEP Job Opening, Req 6775 - Contract Analyst, Gahanna, OH Posted through midnight Thursday, 12/12 Salary minimum: $56,300 Title - Contract Analyst IV - I Auto req -ID 6775BR Location - Gahanna, OH Job Type - Full-Time Job Category - Energy/Utilities Relocation - No NOTE: Based on education and experience this opening will be filled at any of the following levels: Contract Analyst I (Grade 18) Contract Analyst II (Grade 16) Contract Analyst III (Grade 14) Contract Analyst IV (Grade 10) SUMMARY: Responsible for negotiating and writing contracts for services with outside vendors working in conjunction with business unit personnel. Develop negotiating strategy including: developing cost-of-ownership models, develop multiple price models, cost containment models and pricing caps and indices. Write the deal summary and deal detail for assigned contracts. Write performance criteria and service level expectations that match the business requirements. Write modifications to existing agreements and work with the Legal department as necessary to protect the interest of AEP. 1. Write the deal summary for assigned contracts. 2. Understand the parameters of the boilerplate terms and offer solutions to requested changes in the more complex business requirements. 3. Write performance criteria that match the business requirements. 4. Write service levels that match business requirements. 5. Write modifications to existing agreements using various models. 6. Leads project activity related to specific, unique, and/or highly specialized areas of contracting. 7. Leads, facilitates, and coordinates work activities of others within work group, team, department or other corporate entity as necessary, and assumes the role of project manager for assigned tasks. 8. Develop and apply strategies and approaches to negotiations. 9. Define and apply best/worst case scenarios. 10. Apply various price models, cost containment models, pricing caps and indices. 11. Apply the total cost-of-ownership model. 12. Apply issue recognition and understand how issue recognition fits into the negotiation process. 13. Apply escalation of issues in the negotiation process. 14. Apply problem solving skills and use creativity in problem solving. Minimum Requirements CONTRACT ANALYST IV: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study with a minimum of two to three years of related contract and/or supply chain experience. CONTRACT ANALYST III - I: The level of expertise and competence required to carry out these responsibilities varies with the position level in this job family.
