AIR POWER DISCUSSION-ANSWER How Do I Know I Am In The Perfect Will Of God? The scripture makes it clear that it is possible to know when you are in the perfect will of God. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 I will like us to examine this scripture in detail because it contains grains of truth that can help to answer this question. You can know you are in the perfect will of God when you do not conform to this world. To be conformed means to be shaped by external forces. For example, when you squeeze an orange it will change shape because of the external pressure. The values, the thinking and the world system can pressurize you to conform to the standards of this world. Secondly you can know you are in the perfect will of God when you renew your mind. To renew your mind means to think in conformity with the scriptures. All your decisions should be aligned to the will of God as revealed by the scriptures and by the Holy Spirit. Thirdly the perfect will of God is progressive. We do not attain it in a day, we attain it as we consistently live and walk by Gods will. I will like to end with statements from Paul and Jesus who walked in the perfect will of God, Jesus walked in the perfect will of God and knew it. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:4 He said he had finished his work; he walked in the perfect will of God. His actions and life were consistent with the will of God. The next example is Paul. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Paul was bold enough to say he had finished his course or assignment and was expecting a crown. May we live by the Word if God to the best of our ability so we can confidently say I have finished my course.
