AKSHI AND MEENA Rama and Seetha step out of the picture and move in rhythm with the Lord of the Dance, superimposing Rama Rajyam, Ramas ideal kingdom, on the scene. The land all around it is covered with jewels and precious stones, and with gay beds of lotuses. There are rivers whose banks are piled with pearls, gems and diamonds. The trees overhanging the rivers bear flowers and fruit and abound with birds. And a sweet fragrance hangs in the air. Rama Rajyam. The Golden Age. Where bushes have no thorns, scorpions no sting, snakes no venom. Neither flood nor drought causes distress. The land is virgin. There is no agriculture or aggression. Wild rice and wild honey, roots and fruits and vegetables give nourishment as well as total satisfaction.
