Such as...Americans For Tax Reform supports a Flat Tax (still an income tax that can be raised in the future) What we need is to Repeal the 16th Amendment so there is no longer an Income Tax to punish success in America. Funding the government with a consumption Tax is the only FAIR thing to do. Tax Reform Without Repealing the 16th Amendment is only temporary. Dont be fooled by a Flat Tax that can just be raised by the next set of Temporary Politicians. Americans For Tax Reform is run by Grover Nordquist and he is first and foremost a lobbyist (aka influence peddler), as is Dick Armey. Lobbyists and aspiring lobbyists are never, ever under any circumstances going to support the FairTax.
