Today is a remarkable day in the history of Amurri and also a day of joy, because we are privilege to see this year 2015 and we are also present to witness the closing ceremony of this soccer competition. PURPOSE; Our purpose coming together here today is for us to celebrate .. AMURRI UNITY CUP CHAMPIONS OF 2014 We are so grateful to Almighty God and also to men of goodwill, especially those that contributed in one way or the other for the actualization of todays event. BENEFITS; The importance of this competition can not be overemphasis, some of the outstanding benefits includes the following . . . a) it provides our youths with opportunity of showcasing their talents b) It signifies the unity of our youths c) It makes our community lively during Christmas and New year festivals d) It discourages youths restiveness e) It also serve as a means of crime prevention, to mention but a few. CHALLENGES; Irrespective of the highlighted benefits of this competition, many challenges abides . . a) Lack of adequate funding; the financial aspect was a bit hurdle for the organizing committee. b) Lack of Substantive sponsors, because only six teams met the criteria to qualify for the soccer competition. c) Lack of motivational incentives that are need for players to be mobilized/motivated d) Destructive criticism and unhealthy rumours from people that wants to thwart our dream etc. WAYS FORWARD; 1, We anticipated sponsors that can improve subsequent football competitions to come and aid us 2, We are expecting more teams to Register for the 2015 Amurri Soccer Competition 3, We suggests that our rich men should organize football team 4, We also hope to host a football competition this 2015 For our females (youths) CONCLUSION; Should we succeed in implementing these stipulated items as a ways forward, Amurri will be the center of attraction both for Amurri indigenes and visitors.
