APPEAL FOR INFORMATION: Fatal Road Traffic Collision - Westbound A465 Emergency services were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on the westbound A465 between Llanfoist and Gilwern at approximately 00:20 today (Saturday 23 August). The Collision involved a motorcycle and sadly the motorcyclist, a 53 year old man from the Nantyglo area, died at the scene. Officers are investigating the cause and circumstances of the collision and a 37 year old man from the Brynmawr area and 34 year old woman from the Gilwern area have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They remain in police custody at this time assisting officers with their inquiries. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who was travelling in the area at the time, is asked to ring 101 quoting log 11 (23/08/14). The A465 between Hardwick and Gilwern is likely to remain closed in both directions for several hours with diversions in place.
