ARE THINGS FALLING APART?, PRESIDENT SIRLEAF’S UNITY PARTY DESCRIBES HER SON ROBERT AS AN EMERGING MONSTER IN THE LIBERIAN SOCIETY, WAOOO! I heard the unity Party Secretary General, the well-respected, scholarly and intelligent Wilmot Paye speak when he addressed the press on prevailing situation in the unity Party that produced President Sirleaf as the first female President on the continent of Africa I have seen his statement posted on various social networks verbatim, but I chose to read the entire speech and picked up the meat so that I cannot bore you with the long speech. Wilmot Page described Robert Sirleaf as an emerging monster determined to impose his abominable will on our society, noting that the National Executive Committee of the Unity Party has taken (and will take) no decision to support Robert Sirleaf. “We are convinced that while this Sirleaf may have become rich overnight, he lacks the moral credentials and credibility to earn our Party’s trust. Therefore, any member (whether local officer or member of the National Executive Committee) pledging support to him is doing so at his or her own risk.” Wilmot intoned The erudite UP Secretary General said, it will be foolhardy for any member and leader of the Unity Party to support a man whose conduct and activities have the trademark of an avowed enemy. Moreover, any member seen or caught undermining any of the UP’s candidates will be treated as an enemy of the Unity Party— like Robert Sirleaf. Page however said Robert Sirelaf was never a humanitarian before this era. He never is even today and he deserves not the least of courtesies from any local chapter of the Unity Party.. But what does this mean for the senatorial bid of the divinest presidential son whose entry into the race has sparked out serious debates with many believing that he allegedly bribed The UP candidate Sylia to pull out of the race and secretly leave the country, how do you think her Excellency President Sirleaf will embrace such a news of serious condemnation coming from her party against her son, if you were the one, where will your loyalty lie, in the Party or your son?
