AS COPIED FROM the author............Most people would remember the Waco, Texas debacle with David Koresh and the Branch Davidian. I was a member of the group from which Koresh got his message. This cultic group was started in 1930 by Victor Taso Houteff, a Bulgarian who migrated to the USA. Houteff is the founding Prophet of the group. There are several branches of this group still in operation in the USA and around the world. Like Koresh, I believed that I was a Jew and that we would survive a universal slaughter, after which we would be miraculously transported to present-day Jerusalem. While in Palestine we would be Kings and Queens who would be worshipped by all none-Jews. My mother and sisters and their husbands are still members of a surviving group, headquartered in Waco, Texas. This book deals with the beliefs and teaching of the Shepherd s Rod movement. In the book I share my story of how I became a member of the group and how my wife and I were finally able to break free. I deal with the brainwashing process the individual goes through in order to remain a member. The intention of this book is for you to better understand why the Rod members are willing to die for their belief and why another Waco, Texas scenario is always possible among cults.
