ASSISTANT GRAIN BROKER Delta Grain, a division of Delta Agribusiness, is a highly regarded grain, pulse, oilseed and cotton accumulation and market advisory business servicing clients throughout NSW and QLD. We have created an administration role to assist our brokers and build upon growth opportunities, with a view to learning the broking role if suited. They must possess integrity, excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team, and enjoy a sales environment. Excellent IT skills, especially in spread sheets and charting, and attention to detail is essential. Experience in agriculture, and specifically the grain industry is preferred. Key responsibilities of the role include: • Accumulate and chart daily price movements of commodities • Maintain detailed records and our database • Daily report generation • Identify marketing opportunities • Assist brokers with pricing to complete contracts • Liaise with growers and domestic and international buyers • Possess an affinity to relate to growers This is a full time position to start as soon as possible, however, as we are based in Armidale it may suit a second or third year university student that can work in conjunction with their agricultural based degree.
