Upon closer inspection of these products and reading the ingredients list, I realized I had used this product before and with great caution, it is Cab-O-Sil or fumed silica! Typically we use it in the Makeup Effects industry for thickening materials such as adhesives, polyester resins, latex or any other liquid that needs to be a lower viscosity. It can also be used in some digestible products(toothpaste for example). But, the digestive tract is essentially a tube that can allow the silica to pass through it. Your lungs are not, they can trap the silica and create complications. My reason for the alert is that fumed silica can become very easily airborne and then inhaled, which can then cause multiple lung issues(pulmonary diseases such as silicosis, tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer). ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/11876495/ Please take great caution if you must use these products, or better yet dont use them at all!
