ATTENTION!!! UCLA NOW RUNS THE CITY! We beat USC with the most donation earned and the most registered runners in the We Run the City event for the Special Olympics!!!! Team Bruin Transfers came in 4th in most donations earned out of all the teams participating in the race!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!!! What an incredible day! Thank you everyone for your energy, enthusiasm, and support. This is what your efforts help to support: Every dollar raised through We Run the City not only provides free year-round sports training and competitions for people with intellectual disabilities, but also gives them empowerment, joy, and improved health. Special Olympics helps build the self-confidence of a person with intellectual disabilities so they can work and give back to their community. It drives the athletes determination so they can overcome hurdles. It inspires people to open their hearts to the wider range of human potential and talent. It provides people with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to shine and live happier, healthier, and longer lives. NICE JOB!!!
