About Namaaz (Ali is the Wali of Allah and the Wasi of Prophet Muhammed A.S.) Salaat for Beginners (Transliteration and Translation) Salaat is the arabic name for the obligatory prayers which are performed five times a day. The five-time prayers become obligatory from the moment a person embraces Islam. This is an extremely important tenet of Islam and has been enjoined with great emphasis in the Holy Quran. It is a form of worship which establishes the link between man and his Creator and Benefactor, Allah. Through Salaat a person communes with his Lord, the Creator and the Sustainer of the Universe. Just as performing Salaat is obligatory, learning to perform it in the prescribed way is also obligatory - and one should know what he/she is saying to his/her Lord. All the necessary recitations have been put in the Roman script along with the translation of their meanings into English . It would be a good idea to have your pronunciation of the prayers checked by other Muslims at the first available opportunity. Before starting the prayer, a person is required to perform wudhu (ablution - wash). And I bear witness that Ali is ..... ALLA HUMMA SAL LI ALA MUHAMMADIN WA ALI MUHAMMAD. O our God, bless Muhammad and the Progeny of Muhammad. Stand up saying BI HAWL LIL LAHI WA QUWAT TI HI AQOOMO WA AQUD. Due to the Vigour given by Allah, and because of the vitality from Him I rise and stand Third Rakaat Say 3 times (while standing) SUBHAN ALLAHI WAL HAMDU LIL LAHI WA LAA ILAHA IL LAL LAHU WALLAHU AKBAR (3 times) Glory to God, all praise belong to God, and there is no God but Allah and God is Great Rukuh SUBHAN ALLAH (3 times) Glory to Allah SUBHANA RAB BI AL AZEE MI WA BI HAM DIH Free from All Defects is my Lord, and with His praise I bow Straighten up, saying SAMI ALLAH HU LIMAN HAMIDAH God listens to one who praises Him ALLAH HU AKBAR Allah is Great Sajdah SUBHAN ALLAH (3 times) Glory to God SUBHANA RAB BI AL ALAA WA BI HAMDIH Free from all defects is my All-Highest Lord, and with His praise I adore Him Sit up and say AS TAGH FIR UL LAHA RABBI WA ATOOBU ILAIH I ask Allah, my Lord, to cover up my sins and unto him I turn repentant Second Sajdah SUBHAN ALLAH (3 times) Glory to Allah SUBHANA RAB BI AL ALAA WA BI HAMDIH Free from All defects is my All Highest Lord, and with His praise I adore Him. Salaam ASSALAM MU ALAIKA AYYUHAN NABIYYU WA RAHMAT UL LAHI WA BARAKATUH Peace be unto thee, O Apostle and the mercy of God and His bounties ASSALAM MU ALAINA WA ALA IBAD DIL LAHIS SUALIHEEN Peace be unto us and unto the virtuous servants of God ASSALAM MU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATUL LAHI WABARAKATUH. Peace be unto ye all, and the mercy of God and his bounties. ALLAH HU AKBAR(Three times) God is Great. End of Prayer After each Salaat, it is recommended to say Tasbeeh ALLAH HU AKBAR (34 times) God is Great ALHAMDU LIL LAH (33 times) All praise be for God SUBHAN ALLAH (33 times) Glory to God Dua (supplications) Ask God for forgiveness and fulfillment of your needs and righteous desires. Sajdah-e-Shukr Go to Sajdah and say SHUKRAN LIL LAH (3 times) I thank thee , O God Then do Ziyarat Ziyarat (brief salutation after every prayer) Ziyarat Imam Hussain AS AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YA ABA ABDIL LAH Peace be upon thee, O Imam Hussain. AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YABNA RASOOL-UL-LAH Peace be upon Thee, O son of Holy prophet AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YABNA AMIR UL MOMINEEN Peace be upon thee, O son of (Imam Ali) the Commander of Faithful AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YABNA FATIMATUZ ZAHRA Peace be upon thee, O son of Fatima Zahra AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YA ABIL FAZLIL ABBAS Peace be upon thee-O Abbas (son of Imam Ali) AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATUL LAHI WABARAKATUH. Peace be upon thee, and the mercy of God and His Bounties Ziyarat Imam Ali ibn Musa ar Riza AS AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YA GHARIBUL GHURABA Peace be upon thee, who lies far away from his domain AS SALAAMU ALAIKA YA ALI IBNE MUSA AR RIDHA Peace be upon thee, O Ali son of Imam Musa ar Ridha AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATUL LAHI WABARAKATUH.
