When I taught middle school for many years, Id have shamrocks in the classroom and would take a moment on St. Patricks Day to share the legend of St. Patrick and how hed use the commonly found plant to teach about the Heavenly Fathers love for us. Like clover, the shamrock has three leaflets per leaf. These represented the Blessed Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost that make our one God. Each leaflet was heart-shaped, unlike clover. Together, they represented Gods abundant love for us. And where the leaflets come together, if you look closely, you will see the cross to show us the depth of His love.
