Administrative Assitant (Upper Marlboro, MD) compensation: $12 an hr (Contract to Hire) contract job Administrative Assistant position located in Upper Marlboro, MD. --Contract to Perm position. --Full-time position (Monday through Friday either 8AM-5PM or 7AM-4PM) Job entails assisting sales and purchasing departments Skills/Experience- - This position requires the ability to operate all basic office equipment. - The individual must be computer literate and type a minimum of 35 -50 wpm with low error rate. - Highly detail oriented and exacting. - General knowledge of Microsoft office but will work on a CMS platform. - Candidate will be assigned new home builder accounts, go into client websites and pull off specifications per customer for kitchen and bath build outs. - Order products based on fixed pricing and builder options. - Great documentation skills, great communication skills (interact with clients primarily thru web sites, some phone, interact with purchasing, accounting, sales department verbally. Career path is potential within the purchasing depart. - This job facilitates the corporate sales (as compared to the branch sales) via large new home builders. No selling is involved. - Process 10-15 orders daily. - A lot of order entry: typing must be accurately. Organizational Skills-An organized person capable of handling projects and assignments will require the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously in order to meet deadlines. Communication/Teamwork Skills-The individual must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate high levels of integrity and confidentiality in every aspect of this position. Retention Skills-The individual must have the ability to concentrate on the assigned tasks and input information accurately with emphasizes on attention to detail. Physical Requirements- Daily operation of all basic office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier machine, calculator, and paper shredder machine). 1.
