Im speaking on behalf of colleagues who received ineffective ratings but outscored the majority and have consistently for years. The teacher in the lawsuit helps approximately 68 percent of her students be at or above grade level. I know of teachers with 96 percent of their students at or above grade level but they receive ineffective ratings because the students didnt grow enough. When you are given students that already have a near perfect testing history, how much higher can they climb? When will it stop being about test scores and start focusing on actual learning and retention?
