Admission Process General Guidelines cukashmir.ac.in 35 l The selection for all the programmes offered by the University is made on the basis of Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) jointly conducted by 10 Central Universities at variouscenters located across India. l TheTest comprisesof MCQ/ DescriptiveAnswer Questions l 30% weightage is given to themerit obtained in the qualifying examination l 70% weightage is given to thescore obtained in the Entrance Test l No candidate shall be eligible for admission to any programme if he/she is already registered for any full time Programme of this University or any other University/Institute. No candidate admitted to any programme shall undertake any employment or join any other course of study before completing the minimum residency period. l The filled inEntranceTest Form shall be submitted in the prescribed form to the CentralUniversity of Kashmir, Transit Campus, Sonwar, Srinagar -190 004 (J&K) l The students can apply online or offline for all the programmesoffered by the participating Universities including the Central University of Kashmir. l ForApplying online, the students shall have to log in to the website cucet.ac.in l The offline application forms shall be available at Central university of Kashmir atTransit Campus, Sonawar,Srinagar l The Filled in offline application forms along with the requisite feeshall be submitted to theCentral University of Kashmir,Transit Campus, Sonawar-190 004. l The Selection for various programmes will be done on the basis of the performance of the eligible candidates in the central Universities common Entrance Test (CUCET). However, in case of admission to M.ATourism Management and M.AConvergent Journalism programmes, the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CUCET. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The admission to these programmes will be made on the basis of the aggregate merit in Entrance Test, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) l Time & Venue of the Entrance Test will be notified for the information of all the eligible candidates separately. University reserves the right to change time & venue ofthe Entrance. l Resultsof EntranceTest Examination will be available on the University website cukashmir.ac.in l The selected candidates have to submit a separate admission form, the prescribed fee and other relevant documents to the university as per the University normswithin a stipulated period. l If the candidates fail to complete formalities within theprescribed period, the offer of admission shall stand withdrawn.
