Advice post: Hi Guys, So sorry for the novel but I am so angry and need to let out some steam!! Im 36weeks and had my standard check up in the hospital today, had to get my 2nd dose of anti-d injection as Im Rhesus Negative blood type. It was by far the worst hospital experience I have had to date. As like every expectant mom you look forward to seeing the midwife and hearing your babys heartbeat and about its progress since the last app. I had the total opposite today, as usual the clinic was super busy but I was there on time and waited patiently until midwife called my name. Usually when I meet the midwife she does the standard checks,blood pressure,babys heart beat rate,fundal height,5ths above Brim and of course talk to you about any concerns you may have or questions. The midwife I had today didnt even introduce herself to me, brought me into her Assesment room,took my bp so quick I dont think she even looked at the monitor, put the Doppler on my belly but took it off so quick again that I didnt even hear a heartbeat(and I dont think she did either) didnt check how baby was facing or even ask me how I was feeling. I was back out of the Assesment room within one minute of entering. And to make it worse I had to inform her on how many weeks pregnant I was and that I was Rhesus Neg and that I needed my anti d injection today!! She then told me book in for 2 weeks time which I did(but I thought app must be every week from now on?) and when I looked at my clinic book she hasnt even written one note on it from my appointment! I was so upset leaving the clinic as I had to get 2 trains and a bus to get there and it was such a waste of time. I had some questions I wanted to ask but didnt even as I felt so unwanted in there. Is there anything I should do? Demand a new appointment? I hate complaining about people so would feel really awkward having to. Any advice would be so helpful! Thanks:)
