After David and I got married, we got to do some traveling. We drove through Cornwall, where my maternal great-grandfather grew up. As we approached the dramatic vistas of the coast and the excitement of the ocean, we saw lots of locals who’d pulled off the road and were just sitting by the highway in lawn chairs eating sandwiches. I thought ‘these are my people!’ because, like me, they seemed to enjoy simple pleasures. With that said, Laurel, I accept the positivity challenge! I’ll post 3 positives per day – they will probably be very simple -- for 5 days. Ill nominate 3 people today. Today’s are big picture: 1) I’m profoundly thankful to be gaining strength as I age, rather than losing it. Knock on wood. Thank you, David King! 2) I’m equally thankful our boys are each thriving in their lives, in their own unique ways. 3) Even though I can waste a lot of time on it, I’m thankful for Facebook, because I love being in touch and getting to see friends from every stage of my life, and from each town I’ve lived in, and what’s happening in all our lives today. Julie Vasquez Nunis Karen Vine Melissandavid Lasater– tag, you’re it! :-)
