After MUCH help and advice from my close friend and fellow designer, Tracy Bell, (copperglassandrecycledtrash.blogspot/ ) I have my images ready for my show applications. What do you think? One great piece of advice is making sure all your photos appear as one cohesive body of work. Thats difficult to do in just three photos! Although I work with a variety of metals, these are all made of raw copper wire, featuring my handmade lampwork glass beads. Theres something so satisfying in looking at my final pieces knowing I made the entire piece from raw materials (i.e. no purchased finished findings made overseas). I hope my customers see and appreciate that aspect of my work. I realize that some customers will look at my pieces, and think they can purchase pieces for less elsewhere, however, I want my customers to realize and understand that each piece is one of a kind, and as unique and individual as they are. Thank you to everyone for their continued support of my work in the past, and Im looking forward to bringing you my work in 2015! I hope youre having a great start to the New Year!
