After all of the festivities this year, just like every year, I decided Im not participating in the normal christmas eve gathering next year. And Im also not running anywhere on christmas day. Its too much. Christmas eve will be spent with my daughter cooking and preparing a meal for christmas day, watching holiday movies and whatever else we decide to do. We will get up as normal on christmas morning do presents and then later in the afternoon family can come over to eat and do more presents. Why? Because. Because I am sick of rushing around and ruining the spirit. Because I dont feel like christmas eve is the time to celebrate. Because doing it this way makes the spirit of the holiday last throughout the day and not over first thing in the morning! Because its my choice and before long my daughter will be too old to care. Thats why. If any parts of my family dont agree thats ok, we will see you a few days after!
