After an awesome weekend, Monday got the work week started off with more sunshine, and more warm temperatures. We approached the 90° mark for most of the Wiregrass, except the FL Panhandle near the coast. With high pressure dominating the southeast U.S. more heat with very little humidity is expected through Wednesday. For tonight well have an all clear sky, with temps falling to the upper 50s and near 60 in the mild spots. Tuesday afternoon looks like a carbon copy of Monday with more bright sunshine, barely a cloud in the sky, and highs nearing 90. Tuesday night, more of the same, more upper 50s and near 60 for morning lows on Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon...wouldnt you know it...more 90 degree weather and lots of sunshine. As we head into the rest of the week, high pressure starts to slide east, as an approaching cold front brings in a few more clouds. Our humidity will also increase as the retreating high and incoming low funnel more moist air in from the Gulf. Highs on Thursday will still be warm, into the upper 80s and near 90, but youre going to feel more humidity for sure. Friday more clouds make an appearance with a slight chance of rain for the afternoon. As it stand right now, the bulk of the rain chances move in for Saturday and Sunday. Hoping that doesnt come to pass for Mothers Day weekend, but its still several days out and things have a tendency to change so stay tuned.
