After only getting 4.5 hours of sleep the prior night and a long - TopicsExpress

After only getting 4.5 hours of sleep the prior night and a long day of flying yesterday, I crashed hard last night. I only slept 6.5 hours but I didn’t wake up at all until I climbed out of bed. I went with my mother-in-law to the gym for my first workout since my seizure on Tuesday night. There were a couple of exercises that I couldn’t perform due to soreness in my left shoulder. I definitely took a few steps backward because of the seizure, even though there was no damage to my shoulders. I finished my workout and then used additional time that I had while waiting for my mother-in-law to tackle physical therapy work with the Theraband. After coming back from the gym we got changed and ran a few errands to start Thanksgiving preparation. Once we came back from running errands we started preparing my mother-in-law’s sweet potato casserole. I peeled all of the sweet potatoes which was a repetitive motion that didn’t seem to bother my shoulders. I was a little concerned that after peeling a few potatoes my shoulders may get tired but they held up well. The rest of the day was spent prepping food, eating and hanging out with family. One of my best friends, Adrian, came by the house to hang out for the night. It was great to see him after everything that has happened during the last few months. He usually stays with us in California for a week every Fall but this year that wasn’t possible since I was in the hospital. Even though I know that he doesn’t care it still bothered me that my medical issues affected his plans to spend time with us. After dinner we went downstairs to hang out, listen to music and play pool for a while. I was worried how my shoulders would react to playing pool. With a few minor exceptions I didn’t feel much pain or soreness even when breaking. We’re now winding down for the night and I’m hoping to get a solid night’s rest after the long day we had yesterday. This was also posted on Built Unstoppable: bit.ly/1y0OULD
