After reaching a high of 20.1c in London yesterday, theres change in the air and by next weekend itll be much cooler and wetter with a return of wintry showrers for northern areas. There is plenty of cloud around this morning and some spotty showers over Scotland and Ireland, but there are some decent bright spells too, especially in the south east and temperatures are generally mild too - reaching 15c in the south east and East Anglia and most areas will see 10-12c apart from the north/northwest of Scotland where itll struggle to reach 6 or 7c in a fresh westerly wind and heavy showers. More showers will push in overnight across N Ireland, Wales and northern Britain generally. Tomorrow sees a cold front move in from the west, briging cooler air, cloud and rain. N Ireland and western Scotland will see heavy showers first and these will spread through the rest of Scotland and into northern England and Wales during the morning. Elsewhere will be grey and damp, apart from southern areas and the south east in particular, where once again itll could remain bright and dry. Ireland, N Ireland and western areas generally will also feel the affect of a blustery westerly wind that will really drive the rain in at times. Temperature wise it remains mild with 10c under the cloud and possibly 13-14c in brighter areas. Later in the week another cold front will head southeastwards across the country, and its this that will really knock temperatures down and that snow word will be appearing in the forecast for some areas at times too.
