After the Connecticut schoolyard shooting, time magazine published results from a study that examined the pre-cognitive effects on the brain and nervous system of being shot at. This is an intelligent, and far more illuminating article. But what i want to know is; where is the study that shows the effects of shooting a gun, especially at another person, upon the brain and nervous system? Until we admit that human beings find a deep animal pleasure in violence, men will continue justifying their guns with circular logic, and shoofing each other.
