#AfternoonEdition PLANNING FOR THE SMALL PEOPLE Government is tasked to plan faster for urbanization which has increased the number of slum areas and slum dwellers in Kampala. According to Mabala-Shibuta Samuel, the Commissioner Urban Development, Uganda is not well prepared for the fast pace of urbanization, which has seen over 1.3 million Ugandans living in Kampala slums alone. Mabala-Shibuta reveals plans of joining hands with slum dwellers, to teach them how to save at least 100 shillings per day, to ensure they have some fall back income.
