All I have to say is if youre going to watch any sort of anime movie, a must watch is Wolf Children. Its a beautiful story about family. Very reminiscent of My Neighbor Totoro which was my first anime I ever watched at around age 4. Wolf Children is more focused on the mothers viewpoint while still being narrated by the daughter. You feel all the emotions of the characters though and you feel connected to them because they are very realistic. Seriously check it out. :)
