All friends and family! Tomorrow is my birthday and I have decided to announce my special project that I have been working on since I was 20 years old. I had a dream, a dream that one of the poorest families in one of the poorest countries in the world could have the brightest future only with the help of one person, namely me! And the travel to this day have been great for the brother and sister I have supported for almost ten years. But now I realize I need help to full fill my dream. When I visited the family first time I knew I had found a good family to help. Living in a half mud-brick house and growing many of their crops to eat in their back yard they were living in a suburban area of Katmandu, Nepal. When I first met them the little girl was 12 and her brother 10 years old. They used to walk for more than one hour to spare the change from the bus fare. They were ambitious. They did not want to choose the closest school because it was not as good as the other and they would only eat morning and night to not spend extra during the day. But ten years ago when their father told me that trekking season had unfortunately not giving him so many working opportunities that it would be difficult to keep them in the private school. I agreed to help them on one condition. That they excelled and became the best in their school. That this was their dream to become something more and bigger then what any of their family had been able to experience. Every year the girl were the best in her class and her brother third in the class. Today they are grown ups he is working as a web designer and she is trying to complete her studies to become a doctor!! Imagine to become a doctor in a country were just a few hundred persons makes it to that status. The problem is that it is not cheep to finnish medical school and I have tried to support her all the way, but this year the 1000 euro I will send will not make it all the way. So as a recognition for my own health and luck on my birthday I will ask you all who are my friends and reads my birthday memoir, to help me in my project and donate if you feel the urge!
