All of this has been in the planning stages for some time; years, if not decades. A network of pro-Russian people were placed throughout the government and the military. They knew with the re-election of Obama, that America would not significantly resist, and the EU would be unable to resist. The plan has always been to take the Crimea, and then to sever the Donetsk region, and the New Russia Odessa region, and Moldova/Transnistria. This gives Russia back its Black Sea ports and a border with Romania. They know they have to proceed quickly, before anyone can react effectively. This will leave Ukraine an emasculated state, with some tourist income; something on a par with Hungary. The Ukrainian people will be raped, and it will be the job of international news media to hide the story as best they can.
