All of us here at Jack & Jills Safe Hill Rescue would like to take a minute to say THANK YOU!!!!!! We had this idea a couple of years ago to start a rescue that would help people in recovery treatment centers and shelters, to house their animals until their owners could get on their feet. Upon moving back to Houston a year ago this December we wanted to make this dream of ours come true.. I (Tiffany Biewer) being in recovery myself have noticed the Tremendous need for something like this but to house other peoples animals you HAVE TO HAVE A FACILITY!!!!!!!!!! So I started getting serious about this and REALLY trying to make it happen in August of this year. I registered the name had a wonderful support system help with our Logo and Brochures and assist me in wording the mission statement. I applied for the Certificate of Formation with the help of a friend and BOOM WE WERE IN BUSINESS!!!!!! IT WAS REALLY JUST THAT QUICK!! ( I was told by a dear friend of mine that Gods will IS EASY) Well I KNOW This IS Gods Will because it was VERY EASY!!!! We received the 501c3 Charity status so that we could raise money the RIGHT way and contributors could get tax deductions on their donations. We attempted to raise money for a down payment for a facility in 2015. Fortunately with your donations ALL of the money we have raised has gone into taking care of the animals we have been rescuing off the street and none into the facility account., Since I live in a 1 bedroom apartment we are having to do 1 animal at a time. And to be honest since i have been out with a hurt back and knee from my full time job 1 at a time has shown to be PERFECT (again Gods will!!)) We entered a contest with Office Depot and actually WON!!!! Alot of office equipment and some other great things to help us get started!! As with ANY new Journey, Venture their are things to be learned!!!! We have learned Alot and will continue to learn.. And we are Truly happy and satisfied with the small changes we have been able to make the past 6 months!!!! We will be focusing Seriously on getting a facility in the new year so that we can make more of a difference but are very aware that if God wants us to stay small and save one at a time we are fine with that as well!!!! All of that being said.............. WE WANT TO SAY WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE ANY OF THIS AT ALL WITHOUT ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!! SO THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!! THE FURBABIES THANK YOU!!!!!
