All right. This is what I learned watching the four Scream movies one after the other on four consecutive nights. I learned that, despite the question being asked 27 times, no one really has a favorite scary movie, I learned that Hayden Panettiere looks cute with short hair. I learned that in just 24 hours I can completely forget certain characters. (Like when you get to chapter 3 you have to page back to chapter 1 because youve already forgotten who theyre talking about. :-( ) And I learned I like watching movies this way. Generally I sit down, pull up my Netflix queue, skim through like 200 movies and decide I have nothing to watch. This way though, I have a plan. It takes some thought and some discipline to work your way through a series and it gives a nice sort of structure to movie watching. And it gives context to the movies. Instead of isolated films you can see them as one long continuing story (The Scream movies work pretty well this way.) or as a body of work. So Im going to stick with the plan. Up next? The Howling films. (There are 7 of them.) And after that maybe all the Mario Bava movies on Netflix. (13) That should take me right up to December. :-) https://youtube/watch?v=UlaZfOiGaCU
