All this beautiful sunshine reminds me of how important vitamin D is! WE need it not only for strong bones but also for preventing depression, good thyroid and adrenal function, preventing colon cancer and even reducing the risk of diabetes. If you are avoiding the sun to prevent skin cancer please take vitamin D supplementation, ideally as Vit D3, the active form and at least 2500 IU per day- even more if you are low.
