Alright family and friends peak season is upon us once again. For those of yall that dont know what that is, its what we at ups call the holiday season. Many of you will do your Christmas shopping online. I want to give you some pointers to make sure you get your packages in a timely matter and to also make our job just a little easier. 1. When you place your order make sure the shipping address is correct. For example if you live at 123 N.E. 3rd street, dont exclude the N.E. Also make sure the zip code is correct 2. Each driver will make close to or more than 100 residential deliveries per day. If youre expecting packages try to designate an area around your home where you would like your driver to release your order. Somewhere safe and possibly not visible from the street. We will be working late hours so make sure to leave a porch light on for us. Keep in mind most of our residential deliveries are not signature required. We drop and run. 3. If youre expecting a package that requires a signature try to have someone home to sign for it. If that isnt possible and we miss you,we leave info notices. Make sure to sign the back of it. This signature allows us to release your package. Only do this if you are comfortable with us leaving your package on your porch. 4. This is just a tip. If you dont want your orders left on your porch, I suggest you have your packages delivered to your place of work.(if this is allowed by employer). This way you receive your packages before the end of the night. 5. Try to make your orders with reasonable time to assure you will recieve your shipment before Christmas. Dont be a last minute shopper. Dont be the one that places an order on the 23rd and hope it makes it on time. Unless of course its coming next day air. Trust me when I say we will do everything we can to make sure all your orders are all delivered in a timely manner. We will work as many hours as DOT laws will allow us to. Even thru these terrible winter storms that have plagued us these past couple of peak seasons, well be out there. Be patient, have some faith in us, know that we are doing everything in our power to make sure your Christmas will be the best one yet. Last but not least, dont late service failures ruin your holidays. Christmas is more than the gifts. Its about being with loved ones. Spreading joy and rejoicing with the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas
