Alrighty folks. Had another good workout. 2 miles on the treadmill at a pace of 20 minutes a mile. This is exactly where I wanted to be by Christmas. My heart rate never got over 120 bpm and resting heart rate recovery was fast, of which Im even more proud. For all my lack of physical activity, my ticker is in good shape. I just need to lose the excess weight and Ill be flying. Im about 90 lbs over weight. 210 was a good weight for me way back when. Thats because during high school and a couple years after, I was into weight lifting, and that increased my muscle mass, causing me to weigh more. As it is, a lack of exercise does not cause a person to lose muscle mass, but only makes muscles flabby and weak. There is a thing called muscle memory. If your muscles get to a certain size and then you stop working out, they will deflate like a balloon, but will then quickly regain there mass when exercise is resumed. This workout on the treadmill is pumping blood back into all my muscles and Im feeling it. And I guess it would show if I didnt have all this fat around my muscles too.
