Although i expected some back lash; the ill-informed and uneducated opinions of my move to Koroit are quite comical. It seems that the people that dont know me or the situation have the most to say. Whereas those who do know and care about me (particularly wbool players) have been overwhelmingly supportive and understanding of my decision, irrespective of the fact that their experience at the club may be affected by my leaving. Its funny how a player can leave and go to an unsuccessful club to coach and theyre commended for it, but if a player goes to a successful club to coach its shocking and considered disloyal. Like my dad told me, theres nothing wrong with a girl pursuing a passion amongst experienced teammates that are also good friends. Thats exactly what Im doing. It was very tough to leave Warrnambool, but Im excited for this new venture with an amazing group of close friends. And i wont let anonymous texts to the editor make me feel bad about this great opportunity.
