Am I getting old? Am I turning into my father? I received a free rain gauge so I put it outside (makes sense, huh?). It rained a bit this morning. Guess what? There was a measurable amount of water in it. I wanted to tell somebody we had "x" amount of rain this morning. Not only that but I wanted to say we had twenty hundreths, why? Why not say two tenths? or why not round it up to "nearly a quarter inch?" Am I turning the corner into an old-timer that is this desperate for conversational fodder? Wow! The rain gauge jjust may lose its life.
