Ambrose Nwaogwugwu: Governor Ikedi Ohakim was accused of playing God, had no listening ear. Did not have the love of the people at heart, Did not perform creditably well rather resorted to internet infrastructural developments. Now, the score card are on our table, Imolites have seen it all, and they have realized that Ohakim’s administration is far better than that of the present administration.People are now crying that the Rescue Mission Administration is over in Imo State. The Governor is busy constructing China roads which would not stand the test of time. The roads are substandard. A situation where the governor is the Commissioner for land and Survey, Agriculture, Works, name it. Infact, he is even a contractor, and also the monitoring team. Performance is a relative word. This is a system I came out from, there are certain words or statements that I will make, somebody will say, is it because I am no longer with them. The governor should stop hoodwinking people, cajoling them into believing that he has done what no other leader has done or would even do better. If you would recall, Chief Sam Mbakwe built the old Imo comprising Abia, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi and Anambra to an enviable standard with meager resources as at that time. Most of these edifices scattered all over the state that the present administration is bragging with were built by late Chief Sam Mbakwe while some were started by the administrationsbefore him so he should not glory in them or be deceiving people with them. No matter how hard or bitter it is for you, give it to a man who has performed like Chief Ikedi Ohakim who initiated the Clean and Green imitative, one can bear witness that Owerri was very clean during his tenure unlike now the reverse is the case. Again Musa Yaradua drive/Concorde avenue are still the best roads that have stood the test of time that Ohakim built while in office.Governor Achike Udenwa also did well during his tenure. I hope you remember that the 13% oil derivation during his tenure was withheld for several years yet he was able to put many things on ground like the State Civil Service Secretariat, Opkoro Housing Unit that was later converted to School of Midwivery unlike this government that is enjoying the 13% oil deriavation. Imo State people should be told what our Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) is. (it is over 12 million) what grants from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) and the SUBEB Grant, that runs into billions of Naira..The federal government contributes over 60% of the money being used in Imo State yet the federal government is not commended in any way, rather Imolites are being cajoled into believing that the federal government is victimizing the governor. _Hon Prince Marshal Okaforanyanwu, A former Imo State Chairman of All Progresives Congress (APC)
