America broke Iraq and must help fix it. Thats pretty much the view of former Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, talking to Newshour earlier today. Im Tim Franks and in Newshour at 2000 and 2100GMT well examine this debate with one of Americas leading foreign policy commentators, Anthony Cordesman. Mr Allawi says the shocking violence in Iraq today is a direct consequence of the US invasion of 2003 when the US dismantled the Iraqi army, police, intelligence services and judiciary. He says the US has a moral, collective responsibility to Iraq. Is he right? And if so, what should the US do?
