Americas main problem is not an economic one; it is not even a political one. It is a psychological one. We the American people are in denial about the condition of our own democracy. NSA spying, the National Defense Authorization Act (allowing indefinite detention of American citizens), the militarization of our local police, as well as the drones that are headed to all of our skies... these things point in a direction almost too awful to admit to ourselves. But admit it we will, or the trend will continue. I dedicate my Congressional campaign to the process of real national healing, which will only come about as we both look at the things that are truly wrong and embrace the work that it will take to correct them. marianneforcongress
